Jamaica’s Farming Sector 🇯🇲
Jamaica’s breadbasket has experienced widespread infrastructure damage particularly affecting farmers and livestock owners. Almost 100% of farmer lost their crops, livestock, watering systems, and greenhouses. In Jamaica we rely on St. Elizabeth & Westmoreland and their farming communities within to feed our entire country. Its is more import now than ever that we focus our long term efforts on investing back into self-sustaining agriculture. For the WWMF group, we aspire to make as much impact as possible and invest in the long-term growth of our home country via our farmers. We are currently working to identify farmers that have been hit throughout St. Elizabeth & Westmoreland that have an ability to quickly turn around staple crops in Jamaica.
We are raising money to provide The Following To Affected Farmers & Community Members
Farm-Restarter Kits: We are currently working with our partners to assemble “farm-restarter” kits. These kits are designed to provide certain basics to farmers and include seeds specific the needs of the land and farmer.
Livestock Micro-Investments: We are also working to provide micro-investments by way of baby broiler chickens & egg laying pullets to restart livestock immediately.
Seed Starter Kits: Similarly we will provide seed kits and starter trays to any affected community member that would like to start a self-sustaining home farm to increase their individual food security.

Support Great Start Academy in Saint Elizabeth
The Great Start Academy provides basic school education for preschool aged children through 6th form in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to over 450 students. We are fortunate that the building has withstood Hurricane Melissa, but the flooding damaged everything inside (desks, books & day to day supplies). Unlike many of the surrounding schools, we have our walls and roof and we aspire to open immediately and need your help. We aspire to open ASAP to our students and temporarily accept students from surrounding areas without charge.
Please see the following Amazon shopping list that we have assembled for Great Start Academy in Saint Elizabeth. Please considering making a financial donation.
